The people behind EDIT.

What makes something interesting? Who do you want around the table? What makes a place stay with you? And why, after years of working across fashion, culture, media and creative direction, did we decide to build EDIT.?

EDIT. sits down with its founders to talk about taste, instinct, friendship, work, travel, the people who inspire them and the world they want to create.

02

So, where did EDIT. actually begin?

LI don't think there was one particular moment. It had been building for years. So much of my work has always been about bringing different worlds together: fashion, music, art, people, places, brands. I've always been interested in what happens when you put the right people in the same room.

KFor me, it came from the nautical industry, but really from everything that exists around it. Working in luxury yachting, I found myself constantly bringing together different worlds: hospitality, events, travel, fashion, design, food, brands and people. We both felt there was an opportunity to create something that wasn't defined by one discipline. Something that could move between culture, hospitality, fashion, art and people without having to choose one lane.

LAnd I think that's really important to EDIT. We don't want to define the world too tightly. The most interesting things rarely fit neatly into a category.

03

What do you both look for?

KPeople with a point of view. People who are genuinely curious. People who are doing something because they believe in it, rather than because it's what everyone else is doing.

LAnd instinct. I'm always interested in the thing that makes you stop. It doesn't have to be polished. It doesn't have to be new. It just has to have something.

KSometimes it's a person. Sometimes it's a restaurant. Sometimes it's a hotel, an artist, a tiny shop, a conversation.

LOr somewhere you didn't expect to love.

04

How important are people to EDIT.?

LThey're everything.

KCompletely.

LOur network has been built over years and across different worlds. Artists, designers, photographers, stylists, writers, chefs, architects, founders, hoteliers, friends, friends of friends. People we've worked with, people we've met once and never forgotten, people whose work we've followed for years.

KAnd it keeps changing. That's the exciting part.

05

What makes a great experience?

KIt has to feel effortless, even when there's a huge amount happening behind the scenes.

LAnd it has to feel personal. You should leave feeling like you've experienced something you couldn't have found anywhere else.

KThe details matter.

LAlways.

06

What are you excited about right now?

KNew partnerships. New people. New ideas.

LAnd EDIT. itself. There are so many directions it could go in.

KI like that we don't know exactly what it's going to become.

LMe too. I don't think we need to.

07

And what do you hope people feel when they discover EDIT.?

LCurious.

KInspired.

LLike they've found something.

KOr someone.

LExactly.
